The basis weight of a paper is the designated fixed weight of 500 sheets,
measured in pounds, in that paper's basic sheet size. The heavier the weight, the thicker the stock.
These weights are expressed in cover and text. Cover is much heavier and is used for postcards, business cards, and any product where a heavier weight is desired. 100# cover is typically good for postcards, while 130# is better for business cards. 60# text is typical for Letterhead and Notepads.
Coated papers are available in three finishes – gloss (shiny and smooth) satin (medium gloss) and uncoated (flat and lusterless).
Coated gloss papers reflect the light evenly so they are suitable for almost all types of printing jobs. Glossy papers have a good ink holdout, which is important for creating sharp, bright images.
Satin papers are not as shiny, but still offer vibrant color.
Uncoated papers are best when a hand or "vintage" look is desired. Uncoated is also a great choice for business cards as it offers that "classic" look.
Our system supports RGB (red, green, blue) for producing digital prints. We have accurately mapped color pallet to match RGB to CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, key) to ensure proper 4-color printing.
300 dpi (dots per inch) is the resolution of the output PDF file.
Snapbrand utilizes digital printing, which provides a high quality of print material for both text and images.
